Sujeto manglar
Sujeto manglar 2021 is an audiovisual project that addresses the issue of environmental deterioration in Jobos Bay, Guayama Municipality, Puerto Rico. We understand that this situation is a result of governmental definitions of public policies, which directly affect the community living in this area. The project tells the story through the perspective of an educator who witnessed the irreparable damages that occur in this zone throughout her career. The narrative references the situations that unfold within the mangrove, depicting it as a silent subject in the construction of realities that present uncertain futures.
